A photographic archival process initiated in 2016 by the artist himself prompts an investigation into the process of material transition through a monumental and existential lens spanning a birth (nativitas) , death (mors), and re-birth (re-natus) period.
The subject (a once fully-functional , once-derelict water distillation plant) is located in the artist’s hometown of Qala, Malta, and was returned back to working purpose as a reverse osmosis plantation in 2021.
