The life and work of investigative journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia, who was assassinated in Malta in 2017, is celebrated through “In Memoriam.” Using Machine Learning, the project simulates Caruana Galizia’s writing style from her blog, “Running Commentary,” and serves as a digital memorial to honour her contributions.
Through exploring themes of immortality, the power of words, and individual impact, the project reflects on a significant political event in Malta, emphasising the importance of truth-seeking, justice, and the consequences of political violence.
