Short Bio

Previously a Graphic Design and Interactive Media senior lecturer in Malta, now I’m an independent illustrator and designer. I work with both playful/fun compositions as well as more reflective visual narratives. My work can typically found in books and editorial (both online and in print).

Achievements
  • ‘Mama, allura din Imhabba?” (Co-authored and Illustrated with Mark Scicluna) awarded Best Original Work (Ages 0 – 7) and Best Production at the Malta National Book Prize 2018. Published by Merlin Publishers.
  • Winner of the Kelpies Illustration Prize 2018 (Scotland)
  • One of six Petit Bateau 100 ans competition winners – ‘Culotte’ Illustration selected from more than 14,500 Entries (2018) and now for sale at Petit Bateau
  • Selected Artist for the Malta Creative Europe Desk Promotional Strategy
  • I have illustrated over 20 published Maltese children’s books.
  • My work has been published in several journals, magazines and websites both in Malta and internationally.
  • Awarded practice research funding from Arts Council Malta for ‘Creative Maltese in Parallel’ project 2018
