Short Bio

Katie Sims (b.1988) is a British visual artist and wanderer. She studied at Byam Shaw School of Art and University College Falmouth graduating with a First and was quickly heralded by critics and curators described in The Independent as ‘one to watch’ from Britain’s new generation of artists. She has featured in The Saatchi Gallery’s New Sensations, The Catlin Guide and won the prestigious Richard Ford Award and Midas Award. Sims completed a residency at the Museo del Prado Madrid and has staged three solo exhibitions; Hoxton Art Gallery, London; Millennium, St Ives and the Victoria Art Gallery, Bath, the latter her first museum show. Currently studying her Masters in Digital Art at the University of Malta, Sims lives and works on Gozo.
