Human heads

The human head is a widely explored subject in the field of visual arts, something of a visual cliche`. In this collection 'the head' is treated both as a portrait with all its unique and different features but also as a universal symbol with all its conceptual and psychological connotations. In these small-scale mixed-media drawings/paintings the human head becomes a mere reference through which lines, shapes, tones and textures are explored on a two dimensional surface.
