On Malta

Studio 87 opened its doors with Inigo Taylor’s first solo exhibition 'On Malta', displaying a selection of twenty photographs from his first decade in Malta. The images are not intended to be part of an exhaustive representation of the Maltese islands. With a touch of nostalgia echoing his summers in Malta as a child, Inigo showcases an up-close and personal Malta, offering glimpses of the religious, the traditional, and the political aspects of Maltese life as well as the constantly changing natural and urban landscapes in which it takes place. I had the pleasure to curate this exhibition, and Dr Francesca Balzan inaugurated it. This event was supported by Chestertons Malta, Lombard Bank and M. Demajo Group.
