This work happened, just happened.
Looking at a blank paper. Pen twirling between my fingers. Tapping on my temples. Digging into my conscious mind.
What was the thing which at that moment bothered me the most?
Control. After a good hour looking at nothing, I fell into the unconscious mind.
I had been trying to control my mind to do something, anything. Letting go of that control made my instinct kick in and grabbed me by the reins and pulled me back.
Unheimlich; the uncanny, the unsettling feeling of seeing something familiar turned into something unusual or “alien”…this work is my unconscious.
