Artwork Submission Now Open for The Contemporary Fine Arts Auction 2020 Edition.

The Contemporary Fine Arts Auction, a charity auction organised in aid of The Malta Community Chest Fund foundation is held every year during the festive season, to raise funds for the ones in need. Each year a selection of works is displayed at the palace whereby collectors and art lovers are invited to bid for their favourite work/s. Due to current COVID-19 pandemic the committee at the contemporary Fine Arts Auction has decided to use virtual and broadcasting means to reach their audience.

Nothing can really beat an experience at the palace, however the committee is dedicated to make sure to turn it into a positive by reaching a larger audience and incentivising an educational approach.This is why this years’ auction shall be teaming up with TVM to broadcast the auction live, as well as other social media platforms. Understanding the uncertain and challenging times the artistic community is facing has led to revision of  previous terms of sale conditions. Whereby the artist shall be receiving a 25% from sales whereas the other 75% shall be donated to the Malta Community Chest Fund Foundation.

An independent selected jury shall be in charge for selection of works abiding with quality assurance guidelines. Checkout ‘ Terms of Sale’ and Submit works below, art for a good cause. 

Terms of Sale

  • 75% of the value from the sale will be given directly to The Malta Community Chest Fund Foundation.
  • 25% Commission from the sale will be given to the artist/ gallerist /collector. They can also opt to donate this 25% to The Malta Community Chest Fund Foundation.
  • Unsold works shall be returned to the artist unless the artist decides to donate them to the organisation. Donations shall be communicated in written form via email.
  • Pricing of works should not be below 200 Euros.
  • The Auctioneer shall abide by the prices indicated by the artist and will not lower the bid under any circumstance.
