Short Bio

Kamy Aquilina (b.1989) is a Fine Artist and art educator based in Malta, graduated with a B.A. Hons Degree in Fine Arts. Her artworks are based on different personal journeys using the visual narrative, multi-sensory art, space, and colour while often using photography as a starting point. She participated in different collaborative art projects, art festivals, and art exhibitions, both locally and abroad. Xlokk Kaħlani is Kamy‘s first solo exhibition.

  • Oct 2019 – Representing Malta School of Art in Vicenza for EASYTOWNS 2“European Accessible Sustainable Young TOWNS”. The ‘Art within the Community’ event was organised as part of European Programme Europe for Citizens EASYTOWNS 2, together with other eleven European cities.
  • Jan 2019 – Member of The Malta School of Art Council. 
  • 2014 -> Now – Art Educator.
  • Nov 2014 – Set designer in ‘Il-Mudlamin’ that was a show in the form of an underground journey a collaboration project between Trevor Zarha u l-Kumplament that was part of 2014 Ziguzajg’s Arts Festival for children and young people.
  • May 2013 – WOMAD Festival (World of Music, Arts and Dance in 2013  in collaboration with artist MALARKY (from Wales) and St.Paul’s Bay Primary school.
