Always a creative one since a young age, I took up art lessons privately with Harry Alden and at DE LA Salle Sixth Form, I studied art at A level with the artist Olaug Vethal. After obtaining a degree in Art History and Anthropology, I worked as a freelance portrait artist/ caricature artist for the entertainment industry, as well as working on a couple of films (‘Helen of Troy’ 2001 and ‘Troy’ 2002) as a props painter and scenic artist. Upon my return from my short stay in Vancouver, Canada, I had an opportunity to open my own commercial art gallery in 2004 (which I still run until today), where I would also organise exhibitions . I also curated exhibitions elsewhere in Malta and abroad. I have written articles on art and local artists for the Indulge magazine and I still write about African art and artists for the Artpaper.
