Efflorescence

Taking on the tradition of still life painting, this collection by Selina Scerri explores the simple vase of flowers in a contemporary idiom. Using found images and real flowers as references, the artist created a collection that presents larger than life floral bouquets, exploring different materials and floral representations through painting. The artworks on show are like windows to the world’s soul that seems to have a contemporary and profound need to connect back with nature. Magical and dreamy, the viewer is invited to crave the natural habitat that often lacks in our cosmopolitan life. The exhibition will run for two weeks, starting from the opening night on the 9th of October till the 23rd of October. Works will be available physically at the gallery and online simultaneously via the gallery website and Artsy.net
