Fractal Landscapes

Degree Show at MCAST

In this series I focused on exploring colour relationships that are found in the Mediterranean landscape of Malta through a process which incorporates elements of fractal geometry; fragmented and iterated shapes which could be found in land formations. For each painting a specific colour scheme relating to a season was chosen after experiencing and recording aspects of Malta’s natural environment during winter, summer and spring.
