Mephisto, a work I presented for Somewhere, at the MAEC Gallery in Milan, part of a collective exhibition which showcased 50 International Artists. The work is inspired by Goethe’s Faust, a theme I revisit from time to time. It represents our sense of greed and dissatisfaction with life, or rather with mortality. It is indeed a refection on Malta’s, but not only, current state of affairs across the board. Not only political.
