An imagined face, a portrait out of memory, distant and contorted, this face is avoiding the viewer, I guess, almost above you, or at least it’s how I want her to be. She is a product of my imagination and faints at the lower part of the painting, faint, just like the memory. I guess I should have called her, in her shadow.
