After living in Japan for several years and learning to meditate. This work was created based on self reflection, peace, tranquility and finding the unity within once self. It’s called the Golden hour; as in the time just after sunrise or before sunset when you look outside and the leaves seem to be shimmering in the first or last golden rays of light. This is a celebration of life through the golden hour. The circle represents the inner being or the Self.
This was created using large eggshells and a mosaic technique of application with tweezers. The painting is cotton canvas and wood frame without a glass.
