Diana (Artemis)

Size: 50cm x 100cm

Medium: oil on canvas

Year: 2020

Edition: one of a kind

Artemis, Diana for the Romans, Goddess of hunting, here represented frontal. I see her as nature, the same nature that punishes humanity, Actaeon like Sipriotes and Orion. The story tells of heroes and villains but I see their story like ours.  Caste nature has its own space but we keep invading corrupting ecosystems and stressing out animals. Inevitably nature will take over and we are the ones suffering the consequence. We are social animals. Nature will put us in our place, it is the pandemic.
